And it was gooood.
Finally, my friends at Menard’s got their heads out of their asses and actually delivered 20 gauge metal studs, instead of 25 gauge. You give them 4 chances to get a delivery (over 6 days) and by gum, they’ll get it right every time.
First things first, I laid down a layer of 3/4″ Durock on top of the composite decking, and screwed that thing down to within an inch of it’s life.
Once that was on, I HAD to see how it looked with 1 metal track attached. These tracks are what the studs will attach to, forming the bones of this beast. With any luck, and a little dry skies, I might have most of it studded up before I go back to work on Tuesday.
And the Grill arrived today, a nice Napoleon 3 burner with infrared. And those nice guys at www.bbqguys.com sent along a free Napoleon tabletop propane patio heater. It’s already assembled and I just might fire it up tonight, since it’s supposed to be a low of 40 again.
